April is almost here, and college baseball is in full force. This week we’re showcasing Samuel Fernandez and Cooper Maher as our players of the week!  

Freshman Samuel Fernandez from Stetson University is our hitter of the week. The catcher had a .400 batting average across the Hatters two-game series last week against Florida Gulf Coast University. Fernandez recorded two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored, contributing significantly to the scoreboard. 

Freshman Cooper Maher from Northeastern University is our pitcher of the week. On the mound, the Westerly, R.I. native pitched 7.1 innings across two appearances last week allowing just six hits. Maher recorded one earned run as well as five strikeouts. He helped Northeastern secure a win over Hofstra with 3.1 innings pitched and zero runs allowed.
