Okanagan College wins CCWS over Thompson Rivers University

Day 4 would start off with an elimination game between the Edmonton Collegiate Hawks and the University of Calgary Dino’s. The Hawks would get a quality start from Zach Krukewich, getting 8.2 solid innings from the lefty allowing only 6 hits and 1 run. The Hawks offense would score often, putting 8 runs on the board. The Hawks would take the game with a final score of 8-1, eliminating the defending champions. The Hawks would now face the loser of the OC and UFV game.
Game 2 of the day would have the OC Coyotes face the UFV Cascades for a berth in the final. The Cascades bats would come ready as they would put up runs in each of the first 3 innings and would again put up big numbers score 4 times in the 5th and 3 times in the 6th. SP Sasha Kamenjasevic would pitch well allowing only 5 hits and 1 run over 7 innings. The Cascades would mercy the Coyotes in 7 innings by an 11-1 score, securing their spot in the championship game. The Coyotes would now have to face the Hawks in the final elimination game before Championship Monday.
The last game of day 4 would be the Coyotes vs the Hawks once again, for a chance at a championship. The Hawks would score first as 2 runs would come across in the 2nd inning. The Coyotes would respond in the 4th inning with a run of their own before getting a big inning in the 5th, scoring 4 times. Coyotes SP Zander Oudie-Senger would settle in after the 2nd innings going 7 innings, allowing 6 hits, 1 earned run and striking out 10 Hawks before handing the ball over to Lyndon Sinclair who would finish the game for the Coyotes. Final score 5-3 for the Coyotes and a chance in the final.
