Victoria Golden Tide Set Sights on CCBC Championship in Fifth Season
As the Victoria Golden Tide embark on their fifth season, optimism and determination are at an all-time high. With a roster blending seasoned veterans and promising young talent, the Tide are making it clear: nothing short of a return to the CCBC Championship game will suffice.
Team unity is the heartbeat of this squad. The players’ commitment to each other is evident, with egos set aside in pursuit of a common goal. “This is a true team,” says Head Coach Chris Vlaj. “A great group of guys who play for each other and are ready to win now.”
Shortstop Carter Simms anchors the defense, his steady glove and on-base prowess providing a foundation for the Tide’s power hitters. On the corners, Thomas Plant returns, bringing relentless work ethic and a drive to make a league-wide impact. Offensively, the Tide boast depth rarely seen in the program’s history. “This is the deepest lineup in program history. The offence is dynamic, we can hurt opponents in so many ways,” notes Hitting Coach Colton O’Brien.
The pitching staff is also drawing attention. “The pitching staff will turn some heads this season,” predicts Pitching Coach Darius Opdam Bak.
With more than nine players expected to make significant offensive contributions, the Victoria Golden Tide are poised to dominate on both sides of the ball. As the season unfolds, all eyes will be on this cohesive, hungry team as they chase championship glory.
