Josh Ranalli scored three times and added a helper on Saturday night, leading the Stoney Creek Tigers to a 7-3 win on home ice against the Dundas Real McCoys.

It would be Ranalli who opened the scoring for Stoney Creek with a pair of first period goals at 10:05 and 13:32. The score remained that way until the 17:24 mark when Jarrett Konkle found the back of the net for the Real McCoys.

The second period would see the Tigers take full control of the contest with three goals. Joel Knight scored the first of the frame at 3:36 for a 3-1 lead. It stayed that way until Ranalli scored his easiest goal of the game collecting the puck which went through Mike Mole’s pads and tucked it into the empty net. Just over 90 seconds later flipped the puck high into the air from the blueline and came down like and Eephus pitch, finding the twine for a four-goal lead.

Stoney Creek continued the scoring in the third, picking up tallies from Dalton Riley and Mike Ruberto a minute apart. However, Brad Bonello responded for Dundas 25 seconds later. The McCoys would get one more back at 16:32 of the period from Konkle, but it was as close as they would get.

Daniel Svedin stopped 46 of 49 shots on the night for the win while Mole made 36 saves in the loss.

The Tigers will get some time off before playing their final playoff round robin game on Thursday March 28th in Wentworth against the Gryphins. Dundas will look to regroup before playing a home and home with the Gryphins starting on Thursday March 21st at the Harry Howell Arena. The teams will then shift to the J.L. Grightmire Arena the next night. All remaining games are scheduled to start at 7:30pm.
