It was a classic pitchers duel at Mulcahy Stadium between Anchorage Bucs’ Michael Sarhatt and Mat-Su Miners’ Ethan Lyke. Sarhatt pitched five scoreless innings, striking out seven, walking one, and allowing three hits. Lyke pitched six and one-third scoreless innings, striking out seven, walking three, and allowing one hit. The Miners scored first as Alex Vergara went home on a single by Kaden Carpenter. They added on in the eighth as a sacrifice fly by Vergara scored Cooper Vest. The Bucs start their scoring in the bottom of the eighth as Oliver Brown gets his first hit on an RBI double that scored Zach Thomas. With the bases loaded, Jaxon Sorenson gets an RBI hit-by-pitch to score Brown and tie the game. They took the lead with an RBI single by Alex Pendergast. Michael Nunez closed out the game with a fly-out and two strikeouts, earning the win and putting the Bucs only half a game behind the MIners. The Miners now face the Anchorage Glacier Pilots, who are also half a game behind, before the Bucs and Pilots go head to head once more in the regular season. Right now, it's anyone's game.

Final Score: Anchorage Bucs 3, Mat-Su Miners 2
