Pilots on a winning streak

The Anchorage Glacier Pilots got out to an early lead, scoring three in the third inning. An RBI single by Garrison Berkley scored Elijah Rodriguez, then a 2-RBI single by Will Carpenter scored Andrew Nykoluk and Joey Wright. They extended their lead in the sixth as Rodriguez doubled to score Jacob Stinson. The Peninsula Oilers cut the lead in the seventh as Ryson Ujimori reached on an error and scored on a double by Ty Thomas. Thomas would come around to score the second unearned run thanks to a single by Josiah Chavez. Pilots’ Tai Atkins pitched seven innings, striking out six, earning him the win. Max Martin pitched the ninth inning, striking out one and earned the save. Oilers’ Mose Hayes pitched six innings, striking out seven, walking four, and allowing the four earned runs, giving him the loss.
Final Score: Anchorage Glacier Pilots 4, Peninsula Oilers 2
