Glacier Pilots strike back

Garrett W. Gagnon

Saturday, July 22

After dropping the first two games to the Oilers in a four game series, the Glacier Pilots came out swinging on Saturday. They ripped Oilers pitching apart with a 7 run 2nd inning. They tacked on plenty more throughout, even a 4 run 4th. Through 15 hits on the day the Glacier Pilots scored 14 total runs. Jacob Stinson was 3 for 4 while his teammates Blake Jackson, Garrison Berkley, Will Henson, and Tarren Sugita each had 2 hit games. The Glacier Pilots are 1 game out of first place behind the Mat Su Miners. With the having Miners an off day on Sunday, it’s a great chance for the Glacier Pilots to split their series with the Oilers and be tied for first. They will have their fingers crossed that the Chinooks can come out with a Sunday win over the Anchorage Bucs.
