Date: Sep 30, 2025
After having last year's Brick Tournament rescheduled, the 2011s finally got their chance to open tournament play in Edmonton on Wednesday and seized the opportunity with a come-from-behind victory over the Montreal Canadiens.
After Montreal jumped out to a 2-0 lead midway through the contest, Team Pennsylvania began to rally thanks to two quick goals from Mateo Georgy and Jack Carlson to even the game with one period remaining. In the final period, a powerplay goal from D'Angelo Fluhme proved to be the winner as Team PA hung on for a tough-fought 3-2 victory.
Justin Saulnier was solid in net, making 20 saves to backstop his team to victory.
Team Pennsylvania has gotten off to a quick start by winning their opener but more challenges await. Tomorrow's schedule features a double header against the Connecticut Jr. Rangers at 9:10am MT/11:10am ET and the Toronto Bulldogs at 2:10pm MT/4:10pm ET.
