Date: Sep 30, 2025

On the penultimate day of preliminary round play, Team Pennsylvania was matched up with the BC Junior Canucks. Evan Gardner and Joseph Tenjiku scored in the third period to make it a close finish but, ultimately, an empty net goal for BC put the game out of reach with a 5-2 final.
Austin Kaufman was strong in net for this game as he made 18 saves and five different players registered a point for Team PA. Coach Edwards was proud of his squad afterwards for their effort in clawing back.
"Once again we never gave up battling right to the end. The kids showed a lot of resilience yet again today and I'm just hoping they get rewarded tomorrow with a victory," said Coach Edwards following the loss.
Team PA will face their first doubleheader on the last day of pool play on Friday, July 4 with a matinee against the Boston Jr. Bruins at 10:50 AM MT followed by an evening tilt with Toronto Pro Hockey at 5:30 PM MT. Best of luck to the boys from PA; we are all rooting for you!
