HEO ‘AAA’ HOCKEY LEAGUE ASKS TEAMS TO ONLY CANCEL GAMES IF REQUIRED

As COVID-19 progresses and the onset of the Omicron variant becomes part of our daily reality, the HEO ‘AAA’ Hockey League is asking teams to exercise proper caution when assessing the feasibility of game cancellations.

While COVID exposures are a warranted reason for game cancellation, league executives ask team managers to refrain from submitting cancellation requests for precautionary reasons. There have been reports of this occurring. This is not a valid reason for game cancellation.

Should any registered players be exposed to COVID-19, please take appropriate action within the guidance of the branch to ensure we all stay safe and healthy as we emerge from the pandemic.

The HEO ‘AAA’ Hockey League remains committed to a safe hockey season, providing young athletes in the National Capital region with important physical activity during these challenging times.
