After finishing the preliminary round as the number three seed in the 2010 American division, Team Pennsylvania's first playoff matchup was a meeting with the Western Selects, a team composed of players from numerous states in the Western United States. With the stakes raised and a spot in the semi-finals on the line, the 2010s put on an impressive performance. Team PA started strong and took a 2-0 lead into the first intermission and kept building from there by scoring 3 goals in the second period en route to a resounding 6-1 victory. Chase Pastor was once again strong in net and goals from Cameron Evans, Bobby Spang, Bo Christini (2), and Jack Riehl (2) were the recipe to another big win for the 2010s.
With the quarterfinal victory in the rear-view mirror, Team PA had to quickly prepare for the second game of the day's doublheader: a semi-final matchup with the Chicago Jr. Blackhawks, a team that posted a 5-1-0 record in the preliminary round. Despite another strong effort, Team Pennsylvania came up just short on the scoreboard in a 6-3 defeat to the eventual champions of the tournament. It was a tournament filled with great effort, teamwork, fun hockey, and plenty of goals! Congratulations to the 2010 Team PA squad for their impressive run in the Kings of Vegas tournament! "While we came up short the boys have a lot to be proud of," said coach Trevor Edwards after the game. "I was extremely proud of how the boys battled all week and all spring long. This is one of the most talented Team PA groups we’ve ever had and they represented our area very well. They have a lot to be proud of and have bright futures ahead of them I look forward to seeing what they can accomplish!"
