Beckstein wins Futures League Manager of the Year!
Date: Aug 27, 2025
The Winnipesaukee Muskrats (5-3) for the second straight night were on the road but this time to face the Vermont Mountaineers (VT) (4-4). The starting pitcher for the Muskrats was Drew Martin (2.1 IP 4 H 4 ER 2 SO). The Muskrats would score early in this with a Cole Johnson two run homer for his second home run of the season. But unfortunately that would be the only scoring the offense would be able to do as they would fall in Vermont by a final score of 7-2. We got to see Danniel Rivera (SNHU) in the lineup for the first time this season for the Muskrats as he would go 1 for 4 on the day and would also reach base on a walk. The offensive stars for Winnipesaukee was Cole Johnson who was 2 for 4 with the two run home run. Danniel Rivera who went 1 for 4, Jake LaPrairie with a 1 for 3 day. Scott Meylan (4.2 IP 0 H 0 ER 4 SO) would have another strong performance out of the bullpen dropping his ERA down to a solid 1.69. Despite this, the Muskrats fall to 5-5 on the season and now have a two game losing streak as they will look to snap it Friday night back at home at Robbie Mills Field when they have their second meeting against the North Shore Navigators.
