Last night your Winnipesaukee Muskrats hosted the North Shore Navigators (MA) as the Muskrats snapped a three game losing streak in in style with an 8-7 comeback victory in front of an ecstatic home crowd. The Muskrats jumped to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. North Shore would answer scoring runs in the next three innings eventually going out to a 7-1 lead after six and a half innings. The Muskrats offense would not stay down for much longer as they chipped away the lead down to only four going to the ninth inning as they were trailing 7-3. The inning would start off with a Nick Marrero as he hit a leadoff solo home run. The offense really came alive after that as they would end up coming back and rallying down by four in the ninth to walk it off and beat North Shore 8-7. They scored 5 runs on four hits and 1 error by the North Shore defense. Drew Metzdorf, Joshua Rodriquez, Ramon Jimenez, Matthew Overton, Ben Kailher would all reach base in this ninth inning. After an error by the North Shore second baseman that scored two runs that tied the game at 7-7, Third Baseman Will Vergantino came up to bat and hit an opposite field single to score the pinch runner Kohl Abrams and complete the amazing 8-7 win.
