Sasquatch Bounce Back To Win Over Sabre Dogs

Minot, N.D. -- The Sasquatch improve to 7-2 on the season after Saturday evening’s game ended with a final score of 8-7.

 

With Chandler Ibach at the plate, and Seth Surrett in scoring position on third, the Sabre Dogs pitcher attempted to pick off Ray Romano at 1st, but with an error by the pitcher, this allowed Surrett to score the go-ahead run.

 

Charles McAdoo, in his debut, had a two-hit, two-RBI night. His first at bat was an RBI single to put the Sasquatch in the lead early, 1-0. Surrett quickly extended the lead 2-0 after an error at first allowed him to score. Souris Valley responded in the bottom of the second inning by bringing in one run to cut the lead 2-1.

 

 McAdoo hit his first homerun as a Sasquatch in the top of the third to extend the lead 3-1. The Sabre Dogs eventually hit an RBI double to make it a one run game.

 

In the top of the 5th the Sasquatch offense went on to add three more runs after RBI’s from Surrett, Matt Crossley, and Cade Stuff stretching the lead to 7-2. Souris Valley added three runs in the bottom of the fifth, and two more runs in the sixth inning, Tying the game 7-7.

 

Riley Moran got the start pitching for the Sasquatch, allowing seven hits and two runs. Logan Wensley, Nico Saldias, and Zach Kriethe would also make appearances. Kreithe picked up the win. Pitching 3 innings, allowing a single hit, with three strikeouts, and retiring six batters heading into the 9th inning.

 

The Sasquatch will finish up their three game road trip tomorrow on Corbett field at 5:30 p.m.
