SPEARFISH, S.D. -- A offensive surge from the Sasquatch was not enough to beat the Casper Horseheads in the second game of today's doubleheader. despite winning the first game, 26-9, The Sasquatch fell to the horseheads, 4-3.
After Wednesday’s delayed game due to inclement weather, the score was tied at five. With the game starting in the top of the fifth the Horseheads struck first, bringing in two runs to take the lead, 7-5. The Sasquatch responded with two runs of their own to tie the game. Casper would only score two more times throughout the game. While the Sasquatch went on an offensive bombardment. The pair from San Jose State, Theo Hardy, and Charles McAdoo hit for a combined 9-12, six extra-base hits, and 12 RBIs.
In the second game, Juan Milera made his debut in Black Hills Stadium, pitching in three innings and striking out five batters on the night. Hayden Sylte was also a standout tonight, pitching in two innings and striking out four batters.
On the offensive side, it would be Jacob Sanchez leading the team having a three-hit night. Ben Parker would go on to add to his RBI count and have a two-hit night.
The Sasquatch battled until the last pitch, but it would be Casper gaining the win by a score of 4-3. You can catch the Sasquatch back in action on July 9th at 6:30 p.m. in the Black Hills Energy Stadium.
