SPEARFISH, S.D. -- The Sasquatch take game two of the series against the Mining City Tommyknockers after losing the first game.
The Tommyknockers would be the first to score, but the Sasquatch responded quickly tying the game. But it would be in the third inning when Spearfish went on an offensive run that would just continue throughout the game. Putting up three runs in the third inning, and five more in the fourth inning. The Sasquatch would add on two more runs in each inning after that.
All-Star nominee Ben Parker was phenomenal, going 4-5 and each of his hits being a double. Newcomer Will Riley was nothing short of amazing, having four hits in his debut. The Sasquatch has been hot lately and it has continued over the last few games.
Pitching was not an issue for the Sasquatch. Juan Milera got the start pitching in four innings and striking out six batters. Ty Wilson would make a strong appearance, striking out three batters. Jack VanDoran was the star of the night, coming into relief pitch for two innings and striking out five batters on the night. RJ Galvin would be the final pitcher we see, picking up the win.
The Sasquatch will be back in action tomorrow night at 4:30 p.m. against the Tommyknockers in the black hills energy stadium.
