GM’s Beginning of the Month Report, September 4th 2019

Date:  Source: ABL- Matsu Miners

GM’s Beginning of the Month Report, September 4th 2019; Sunrise is at 6:56am and sunset is at 8:59pm for a total of 14 hours and 3 minutes of daylight. It’s starting to cool off now with temps in the 50’s during the day. We had a great summer this year. It was very warm and reached over 90 degrees on multiple days and no rain.

We finished in second place posted on ABL website: The Mat-Su Miners take 2nd place by winning their regular season head to head against the Glacier Pilots.

Which isn’t bad considering losing 12 players for assorted reasons during the season. This month's picture is our Miner Team Award Winners at our annual host family dinner. Tyler LeBrun will be back as head coach for 2020 and we’ve started to recruit for next summer.

Denise and I were watching the Red Sox/ Twins game tonight and watched Ian Miller 2012 Mat-Su Miner make his major league debut playing outfield for the Minnesota Twins.  Congrats to Ian !!

We have a general cleaning and winterizing of the field Sunday September 8th at 1pm and we put out a call for volunteers. Come and join us if you are able to 😊

Our annual auction is coming up November 2nd   At Evangelos. Tickets are on sale now. Call 907-745-6401. That’s it for now. Next report will be October 1st. Take care. Pete and Denise.Image
