Pacific Association Cancels 2020 Regular Season
Date: Jul 17, 2020

On August 3rd, the Vallejo Admirals singed former Los Angeles Dodger O'Koyea Dickson. The San Francisco native spent seven seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers farm system, including 31 days of MLB service. For the Dodgers, Dickson went one-for-seven with his lone hit coming against former World Series Most Valuable Player Madison Bumgarner on September 23rd, 2017.
In 2019, Dickson has played for the Harrisburg Senators (AA) affiliate of the Washington Nationals, the Generales de Durango (AAA) of the Meixcan League, Sugarland Skeeters of the Atlantic League and now the Vallejo Admirals. Dickson is the second former Major League Baseball player the Admirals have signed this season, with Brandon Phillips being the first.
The former Dodger has made an immediate impact with the Admirals by homering in his first two games with also having five runs batted in.
In 2011, Dickson played at Sonoma State University where he hit .341 with 11 home runs and 52 runs batted in. O'Koyea's stellar season earned him a 12th round drafted selection of the 2011 MLB June Amateur Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Vallejo Admirals will be hosting the first place Sonoma Stompers this Tuesday with first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Wilson Park.
