Jack Parker, another outstanding player from the St. Louis area will be joining Jack Kremer manning the blue line for the Redbirds next season.  Jack will be joining Chesterfield Falcons teammate Logan Oliver who committed earlier.

Jack loved the atmosphere of the school and the smaller campus size.  He plans on majoring in Business Marketing and Sales.

Coach Michael Hernbrott is really excited to land Jack in the program.  "He checks off a lot of boxes.  He's a well rounded high level athlete in both football and hockey and could have played either sport in college.  He's the son of a hockey coach.  I've found that players who grew up having a parent as a coach see and understand the game really well as a player."

Jack considers his linebacker Coach Mario as one of his favorites as well because of the energy he brought to the game.  Some of Jack's fondest memories are a four overtime game in his league playoffs and also winning state in 2016.

Jack has a younger brother Kyle who we're certain will be attending several of his games with his biggest supporters, his mom and dad.

Just like last season, the Redbirds continue to land top scorer's from the CSDHL.  Sam Braun of the Huskies organization will be joining former CSDHL standouts Anthony Carcerano and Michael McEllin to add to the fire power on offense.

"I knew Illinois State was for me because I really like the environment and the people there and it's really easy to navigate" said Sam when discussing why he chose the school.

Sam's biggest supporter is his father Doug, who is an ISU Hockey Alumni member himself.  "He's taken me to almost every hockey tournament and makes it to most games no matter how far they are."

Sam also wanted to thank his current Head Coach Chad Green.  "He'll fight for us and help correct us instead of just yelling at us."

Sam's favorite memories are a few different State Championship seasons.  One against the Falcons and another where he scored an OT goal to take them to the Championship.

Sam's favorite all-time athlete is Muhammad Ali.  Sam has and older brother Josh and an older sister Emma.

We're looking forward to seeing these players from two very strong hockey communities in St. Louis and the Chicago area come together as one right here in Central Illinois.

We're certain there will be some healthy discussions next year in the locker rooms and on the buses about the Blackhawks/Blues and the Cubs/Cardinals.

Illinois State University Hockey consists of both ACHA DI and DII teams.  If you're interested to see if there is an opportunity for you, you can fill out a recruit form on out website.
