Big Green Back on Track Heading into Winter Break
Date: Nov 16, 2022
Interestingly enough, Scott Bohn (pronounced "BONE") actually led the ACHA in end-of-practice shootout shutouts, a key statistic for NHL scouts. Here's even more about him:
[Pax]: Hey Scott, thanks for taking a break from being a goalie to answer these brain busters. What is your take on goldfish?
- [Scott]: "Delicious"
What is your biggest regret to this day in your hockey career?
-"I regret nothing."
Not even your most recent haircut? What is your biggest regret at all?
-"I still regret nothing."
Atta boy, living life with no "ragrets". Why would you choose to play goalie instead of playing out?
-"I thought being goalie would be less work and boy was I wrong."
Nice, the character behind that type of decision making is definitely what we look for in our players. Top three memories from this summer?
-"1)Grilling burgers and dogs with friends on the Fourth of July weekend. 2)Grilling burgers at home this past week. 3) Lasting the limited edition "Darkness" beer by the Surly brewing company"
Riveting, two of the top three are grilling burgers. And the third is you crushing beer like a true Dartmouth student. Top memory from your past three club hockey seasons?
-"Beating Harvard at home with a rowdy crowd at our back."
Yeah, I remember that the players had to forfeit their reserved seats because the crowd was beyond sellout for that one. If you could choose one goal to go back and save, which one would it be and why?
-"Whichever one it was, it was probably the defense's fault"
Well, I asked you a question which usually entails an answer, I didn't instruct you to beat around a bush. Anyhow, tell us about your playing style as a tendy.
-"I'm maximally aggressive. They can't score if they can't shoot."
Kind of an anti-Wayne Gretzky theory you got there. What was your astounding career like up until playing "cawlidge hawkey"?
-"I played defenseman until I was about 12, then I made the switch to goaltender. Pretty late switch, but I don't regret it. [It] made me a more aggressive tender and a better skater. I played for one of the many Minnetonka Skippers junior gold teams in high school. Good times."
Great decision, it clearly paid off for you. If a genie came up to you and granted you three wishes, what would your second wish be?
-"A shack on a lake in the woods in northern Minnesota with an adirondack chair made out of hockey sticks in the back yard facing the lake."
Sorry, just spoke with the genie and he can only do chair facing the house. Deals off the table. How often do you get your hair cut?
-"About every two to three months."
That's insanely frequent, you should back that off to about every 2-3 years. How does being in both club hockey and AXA contribute to your Dartmouth experience?
-"They define my Dartmouth experience."
Do you prefer to wear hats forwards or backwards, and why?
-"Forwards, because I was raised correctly"
Ever heard of the Sub Reddit "Adults who wear hats backwards. Why do you do it?" If you had to pick one member of the team to trust your life with, who would it be?
-"Chemistry Dan, hands down. You know he's got a plan for any situation."
Favorite family guy character?
-"It's a tie between Adam West (RIP) and the greased up deaf guy."
Thanks for tuning in once again boys and girls. I'd like to again apologizing for not getting that Adirondack chair, but we do know that our goalie program can get Scott and all our goalies up to top speed for the season.
