GM’s Beginning of the Month Report, September 5th 2017; Sunrise is at 7am and sunset is at 8:56pm for a total of 13 hours and 54 minutes of daylight. Temperatures are in the 50’s and 60’s during the day but cooling off during the night. The Alaska State Fair just ended yesterday after 12 days of decent weather. We are winterizing the field and have started recruiting for 2018. We are also gearing up for our annual auction on November 4th @ Evangelo’s.

Highway Cleanup  September 16th Saturday @ 10am

Meet at the field and then we'll get to work cleaning up the highway. We need all the help we can get .

Mat-Su Miners have adopted the highway from Mile Post 40 Glenn Highway, Palmer (middle of red parking lot of Alaska State Fairgrounds) to Mile Post 42 Arctic Avenue and Glenn Highway, Palmer (Fred Meyer gas station). We are looking for volunteers to come help Pete and I with cleanup. It should only take about a couple of hours at the most. I have vests, bags and gloves for all; and will get us all pizza afterwards!
