The good times kept going for the Brockville Tikis at the Memorial Centre, while the Prescott Flyers continued their cold stretch when the two teams met up Wednesday.

The Tikis won the game 4-1, which puts them on the winning side of the 4-2 final season series score and gives them their third straight win on home ice.

On the other side of things, the Flyers, who played with a short bench of 16 players, have now lost 10 consecutive games.

It didn’t take long for Brockville to get on the scoreboard Wednesday with Tom Callaghan finding the back of the net on the game’s first shot just nine seconds in.

Adam Van Ettinger and Callaghan added to the Tikis lead in the second period to make it 3-0 before the Flyers stopped the bleeding in the third period when Cameron McLean scored his fourth goal of the season on a power play.

Brockville responded with a special teams goal of their own when Nathan Bisson rounded out the game’s scoring with about a minute left in regulation.

With just four games left in their season, the Flyers will look to get back to winning against the the Renfrew Timberwolves, the CCHL’s last-place team, on Saturday at the Leo Boivin Community Centre.

The Tikis will hit the road and take on the Timberwolves on Friday before returning home next Wednesday to face off with the Char-Lan Rebels.
