Date: Aug 27, 2025
The Sharks announced today that former player, Tad Gold, is returning to the team as Assistant General Manager. Team President, Kyle Fiore, commented; “We are thrilled to have Tad join our management team. He’s a symbol of success on the Vineyard as a baseball player, and as a person. He’s a hero to many island youth and well-respected throughout the community.”
Fiore added; “Tad brings tremendous credibility to the Sharks: he’s an MVRHS graduate, National Division 3 player of the year and 1st Team All American; played 3 seasons as a Shark and was a member of the 2013 championship team; 2 time Futures League All Star; a Baltimore Orioles draft pick; and a 3 year player in their minor league system. He understands the game, knows many of our alumni, and also understands the Sharks and the team’s role in the MV community.”
Gold stated; “It’s an honor to be asked to join the Sharks Organization. The team has done so much for the community and I’m confident I can bring new ideas that will benefit both the team and the community. I’m ready to hit the ground running and make 2017 a great year, on and off the field.”
