The Marthas Vineyard Sharks make the most of 6 hits in 4-2 victory over the Nashua Silver Knights

The Marthas Vineyard Sharks (20-30) and the Nashua Silver Knights (30-19) each put runners in scoring position on Sunday, but the Marthas Vineyard Sharks capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-2 win at Vineyard Baseball Park.

Ricky Surum was hot from the plate for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. Surum went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Jack Nelson struck out seven, paving the way for a the Marthas Vineyard Sharks win. Nelson allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk over six innings.

The Nashua Silver Knights were led by Yanni Thanopoulas's hitting. Thanopoulas went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Taylor Doyle ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
