Ishmael Edwards went 2-2, sparking the Brockton Rox (26-24) to an 8-6 victory over the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (20-31) on Monday at Vineyard Baseball Park.

He doubled in the third inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Ricky Surum racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He singled in the sixth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Weston Clemente got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over one inning. Clemente struck out one, walked none and gave up two hits.

John Nolan couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
