Blais helps the Town Dock down the Mudville 6-1

Josh Blais had two extra base hits, sparking the Town Dock (12-6) to a 6-1 victory over the Mudville (5-10) on Thursday at Cardines Field (Newport).

He doubled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Matt Thadeio picked up the win for the Town Dock. Thadeio allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.

Pete Mastors had a hot bat for the Mudville. Mastors went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Josh Sokol (3-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed five runs.

The Town Dock were sparked by Blais and Joe Portukalian, who teamed up for four hits and five RBIs.
