Position: Equipment Manager
Job Description:
The Equipment Manager is responsible for ordering, distributing, collecting, cleaning, repairing, and inventorying all play and practice equipment used by the team and helping with our Meal Program on the road. Selected candidate must demonstrate appropriate knowledge and understanding of CWHL rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 2-years experience working in a university/semi/professional hockey context as an Equipment Manager
- Microsoft Excel and Word (and Google Drive)
- Must be able to safely move and handle up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and adapt based on environment. Our events are held in a range of locations and with various levels of support.
Tasks & responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Manage and organize team equipment
- Maintain equipment inventory
- Manage the Equipment Room
- Prepare necessary equipment for practices and games
- Equipment maintenance and repair
- Skate sharpening & drying
- Effectuate all other related tasks judged necessary to the success of the team
- Occassionally transport equipment from one site to another
Job Conditions:
- Contract starts August 30, 2016
- Possess a drivers licence and car
- Part-time job, evenings and weekends
- Work schedule is variable according to game schedule and training sessions
- Modest stipend to be determined according to experience
