Walsh's walk-off single send the Brothers Oven home winners, 8-7

A walk-off single from Tyler Walsh brought home the winning run for the Brothers Oven (9-7) in an 8-7 victory over the Westcott in 11 innings at Cardines Field (Newport) on Thursday.

Walsh racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Brothers Oven. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the first and eleventh innings.

Jared Rossi racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Brothers Oven. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fifth inning.

The Westcott (8-6) had no answer for Sam McQuaid, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Westcott managed just three hits off of the the Brothers Oven's pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out four during his six innings of work.

Ryan Nisbit recorded his first win of the year for the Brothers Oven. Nisbit struck out three, walked none and gave up two hits.

Dylan Pingitore ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed one run.
