Ferreira helps the RR Legion down the Town Dock 7-2

The RR Legion (6-8) beat the Town Dock (10-6) 7-2 on Saturday at Cardines Field (Newport) behind Jake Ferreira, who had two extra base hits.

He doubled in the fourth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

CJ Silva got the win for the RR Legion thanks to seven strikeouts. Silva allowed one earned run on six hits and two walks over six innings.

Josh Blais put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Town Dock. He doubled in the third inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Matt Thadeio (2-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.

The RR Legion were sparked by Ferreira and Chris Rosa, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs.
