Chris Wright drove in three runs as the Lake Norman Copperheads (11-21) took home a 5-2 victory over the Carolina Vipers (22-11) in seven innings at Hough High School on Thursday.
He homered in the third innings.Michael Mock had an impressive outing against the Carolina Vipers' lineup. Mock held the Carolina Vipers hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out eight.
Kellen McCoy improved to 3-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Lake Norman Copperheads. He allowed two runs over three innings. McCoy struck out one, walked two and gave up four hits.
Tyler Henry (5-1) took the loss for the Carolina Vipers. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
