Shooters pull off a big win against Carthage College in a game where they definitely lived up to their name. In a game where every shot seemed to look good, the Shooters were lights out as a team hitting 19-34 behind the arc. 5 players hit either 3 or 4 from three not including team captain David Sachs, who finished with a modest 12 points 8 assists and 6 boards. The ball movement was so seamless it seemed as if they weren’t even dribbling at times, and they were playing a tough opponent.

Behind the efforts of Derek Mason who finished with 14 points 3 assists 3 steals was a huge spark for Carthage, keeping them in the game. But bad shot selection, and maybe even worse substitution patterns did them in. They never found the rhythm they needed until it was too late in the game, and by then the Shooters were hitting daggers and making free throws. They withstand Carthage by a final of 87 to 76.
