In an OT thriller that went back and forth, Lake Forest College just edged Kunkels AllStars 76-74. Ray Hunnicut led the efforts for Lake Forest with 24 points 7 rebounds and added 2 steals. He and Danny Sotos (25 points) were the focal point of the offense. They didn’t have much success deep, but in the mid range and paint, Lake Forest dominated.

Kunkel had a little bit more balance on offense led by Jamie Nikitas with 16 points 8 rebounds and 4 assists, but the back and forth nature always pointed to a final possession situation. Kunkel also missed free throws late to give Lake Forest a chance to take the game to OT, where they were eventually successful. This was a great game that either team could’ve won, or both have to feel confident should it come to a playoff rematch.
