Ricky Samuelson put some more All Star numbers up for Welly Classic, but Kunkel just had too much for them in the 4th quarter. Juice Thompson made his debut for Kunkels AllStars, scoring 20 points and 7 assists on 80% shooting. He was the model of efficiency, and the team played very sound and unselfishly around him. This game was back and forth and hedged on every possession, as far as who had the advantage.

In the 4th quarter it was clear Kunkel had focused their defense on Samuelson and it was tough sledding from there. Kunkel used great ball movement, and quick hands to frustrate Welly Classic, and pull out another close one. Welly Classic just can’t seem to get in  the win column, but they get a bye and their next match up is against the also winless Free Agents.
