Massachusetts falls to New York in overtime, 7-6 (OT)

New York pulled out a 7-6 (OT) overtime victory over Massachusetts on a clutch goal by Keaton Hanna.

New York overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. New York fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Massachusetts' Ben Stefanini at 12:57 in the first period. New York tied things up at 6-6 on a goal by Anthony Misiti at 4:00 in the third period.

New York surpassed its usual scoring output this season. New York has scored at the pace of 4.0 goals per game during the current campaign.

New York was led by Paul Knerr, who registered three goals and one assist. New York also got points from Tanner Orr, who also tallied one goal and two assists and Misiti, who also had one goal and two assists. Jake Hickey also scored for New York. More assists for New York came via Hunter Lanetz, who had two and Kenny Dee and Tyler Wolf, who contributed one each.

Massachusetts forced New York goalie Joseph Werner to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Massachusetts found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season.
