GX3 defeats the Korean National Team in the 12U Division

Over the weekend of Feb. 18, the 12 and under Team GX3 from Riverside played in The Legends of Baseball Tournament in Whittier. Some of the top teams in the nation were there in the 12U division, including the Korean National Team from Korea.

Team GX3 played six games, winning the championship game by defeating the Korean National Team 5 to 1. Team GX3 scored 38 runs and only gave up 14 over the weekend.

By winning the championship they won a berth to the Cecil Fielder’s Elite World Series in Yuma, Ariz., in June, where the country’s best teams will be playing.

The team includes players Trevor Cadd, Gabriel Ramos, Tony Bullard, Kayla Traylor, Eric Gomez, Jacob Cabacunga, Caleb Farmer, Evan Castillo, Anthony Czerwinski and Brett Sweeney; coaches Darvin Traylor and Gabe Ramos; and manager Mark Castillo.

It was a very competitive tournament. So.Cal Outlaws Black, Blue and White were there. Las Vegas Hawks, Team Premier and S.R. Elite were among the other teams present.
