This one was only close in the beginning, as starting Pitcher Robert Boothe went the distance, holding Yuma to 2 runs and only 4 hits. 1st run for Yuma coming off the bat of Jason Winters in the 2nd inning when he hit a dribbler to 2nd Baseman Nick Knull, scoring Brandon Mims from 3rd. Their 2nd run would come the very next Inning from the bat of Lucas Shaw, Catcher for the Scorpions, when he hit a deep Sacrifice Fly, scoring Robert Rashid from 3rd. 

 

    That was it for Yuma, as they lost this one 8-2, giving up 12 free bases and allowing 12 hits as well. Ask anyone who knows baseball, and they will tell you that is a formula which will lose 99% of games; the 1% coming when the other team's defense is worse.
