LES CANADIENNES UNVEIL 2016-17 ROSTER

Caroline Ouellette had two goals and two assists to lead Les Canadiennes to a 14-0 victory over the Boston Blades Saturday at at packed Etienne Desmarteau rink in Rosemont.
Ouellette scored at 5:05 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Les Canadiennes and again while 5:23 into the second to make the score 4-0 Les Canadiennes.
Les Canadiennes forced Boston's goaltenders to work between the pipes, getting 59 shots and forcing 45 saves. Genevieve Lacasse made 36 stops and Amanda Cariddi made nine. Les Canadiennes managed to stay out of the box too, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Although Les Canadiennes average 4.5 goals per game, the team had a lot of offensive prowess, including help from Les Canadiennes' defensemen.
Les Canadiennes additionally got points from Kim Deschenes, who also had one goal and two assists, Noemie Marin, who also tallied two goals and two assists, Julie Chu, who also registered one goal and two assists, Ann-Sophie Bettez, who also racked up three goals and three assists to lead the team in points, Marie-Philip Poulin, who also had one goal and four assists, and Leslie Oles, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Les Canadiennes also had goals scored by Cathy Chartrand, Emmanuelle Blais, and Emilie Bocchia, who each put in one. In addition, Les Canadiennes received assists from Alyssa Sherrard, Chelsey Saunders, Katia Clement-Heydra, Sophie Brault, and Karell Emard, who contributed one each and Lauriane Rougeau and Jordanna Peroff, who each chipped in two.
The Boston Blades managed to stay out of the box too, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Charline Labonte rejected nine shots on goal for Les Canadiennes. Les Canadiennes registered one goal on one power play opportunity.
After the game, Les Canadiennes invited fans to lace up their skates for one last "Skate with Les Canadiennes" event this season. Players signed autographs and skated with the kids, enjoying one of the last moments with fans during the regular season.
