TIGERS PRESS RELEASE DECEMBER 7, 2015

The Tigers have amassed one of the worst losing streaks in recent memory as they have dropped 8 straight games. Injuries have played a role as the team has been unable to ice a full squad, however all teams endure injuries throughout a season.

 

The Tigers travelled to Onion Lake for a date with the Border Chiefs on December 2nd. The Tigers were only able to dress 3 lines and it showed as the Chiefs took it to the Tigers in a 7-3 loss. Chase Carlson, Ryan VanGenderen and Trent Dutchak scored for the Tigers.

 

The Tigers returned to the ice for the Chris Cusack Memorial Game on Saturday, December 5th. A large crowd was on hand to watch the Selects triumph over the Jr's 8-5. The game was secondary to the fact this was the final game between the Selects and the Tigers. The contributions over the years have been north of $90,000 for STARS Ambulance. The Tigers wish to thank the fans, all the players who have been involved and especially Chris's family who have been very supportive.

 

The Tigers return to home action this Friday and Saturday night as they face the Saddle Lake Warriors and Cold Lake Ice respectively. The Yellow and Black wrap up the weekend with a date in Vegreville to play the Rangers on Sunday.

 

News and Notes: The Tigers have made the following roster moves. Goaltender Jorden Piska, Forwards Conor Fogarty and Josh Eyben as well as defenseman Colby Pugh have been released from the club. The hockey club thanks these gentleman for their efforts and contributions to Tigers hockey.
