Melbourne Glaciers took the lead against Sydney Sabres in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 2-0 victory.

Sam Hodic provided Melbourne Glaciers with the game-winning tally when he scored 3:47 into the first period. Corey Stringer picked up the assist.

Hodic had a great game for Melbourne Glaciers, netting two goals.

Melbourne Glaciers did not challenge the opposing netminder, firing only 14 shots on net to force 12 saves.
