Bruins suffer weekend sweep at home to Traverse City

BERKLEY, Mich. - The Traverse City Hounds improved to 3-0-0 on the young season with a 7-1 victory over the Berkley Bruins Sunday afternoon at the Berkley Ice Arena.

Austin Flores went for two goals and two assists, Cam Givens a goal and three assists and Patrick Rogowski two goals and an assist for the Hounds.

Kevin Hansen and Jacob Gillis posted one goal apiece and Clayton Dowlan tacked on a pair of assists.

In goal, David Krejcik and Justin Abdelhak split the game and combined for 25 saves.

Berkley's Alex Anderson scored the Bruins' lone goal and goaltenders Jacob Gorzelski and Hunter Myers made 44 stops.

The Bruins next host the Alpena Flyers next weekend at the Berkley Ice Arena. Game times are 7 p.m. Friday, 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
