Rio Grande Valley Wins First Game Of ULB Championship Series

The Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings defeated the Fort Worth Cats by a score of 5-2 in 11 innings.  The WhiteWings now lead the best-of-five 2014 United League Baseball championship series 1 game to none.  Polanco pitched nine innings, giving up two runs and striking out eight for the no-decision.  Street pitched a scoreless 10th inning to earn the victory, and Peacock pitched a scoreless 11th inning to earn the save.  John Harris went 2-for-5 including a three-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to break a 2-2 tie.  For the Cats, Gooding pitched nine innings, giving up just two runs as well for the no-decision.
