HUNTSVILLE, AL – Huntsville Havoc head coach Glenn Detulleo announced today that the team has re-signed defenseman Stuart Stefan and forward Travis Daniel.

Stefan was named the SPHL Defenseman of the Year and First Team All-SPHL last season after scoring 18 goals and recording 25 assists in his first season on the blueline. The Delhi, Ontario native has now played in 155 career professional games, all for the Havoc, and scored 41 goals and added 71 assists.

"We're excited to have Stuart back in a Havoc jersey,” Detulleo said. “He made the difficult transition from forward to defense and had an outstanding season in the process.  With him being a part of our leadership group, we expect his work ethic and competitiveness to rub off on the rest of the team."

"I'm excited to be returning to Huntsville again,” Stefan said. “I’m looking forward to building on the last few years and I can't wait to return to Huntsville and get the season under way."

The Havoc also signed forward Travis Daniel. The North Brunswick, New Jersey native has spent the past four seasons at the University of Massachusetts-Boston where he served as captain in his senior season. He scored 44 goals, added 81 assists and had 96 penalty minutes in 104 career games. He also played in 212 career junior games and scored 109 goals, added 138 assists and had 371 penalty minutes.

“We are very excited to have Travis join the Havoc,” Havoc assistant coach Jordan Little said. “He has been consistent with his offensive production through junior and college and after speaking with his past coaches and players he has played with, he is also committed to playing on the other side of the puck.  Travis knows you don’t have to be 6’4” and 200 lbs to go to the dirty areas of the ice and it shows in the way he plays.”

The Havoc home opener is set for Saturday, November 1 at 7:30 on Breland Homes Ice at Propst Arena.
