The Island Storm have signed a new player to the franchise for the upcoming season, pending FIBA clearance.
Head Coach Joe Salerno has announced the signing of Semaj Inge, a 6'4", 190 lbs Shooting Guard from Camden, New Jersey.
Inge, who has also played professionally in Iceland and the Czech Republic, most recently played for Grupo Babel Perez in Costa Rica's LBS league, where he averaged 23.8 points per game, along with 6.7 rebounds and 6.4 assist while leading the team to the league semi-finals this past season.
"Semaj is one of those special players who has the ability to make everyone around him better. He has an extremely high basketball IQ to go along with the athleticism and size to play and defend multiple positions on the floor. Whether he is asked to facilitate, distribute the ball, score, defend he makes it all look easy. He is a veteran player who believes in playing the game the right way and winning, its a simple as that. I look forward to seeing the many ways he will contribute to our ball club this season." said Salerno.
Inge played collegiately at Temple University, where he was recruited by the legendary Hall of Fame Coach John Chaney. Inge started for Temple his senior year, when he averaged 7.0 points, 4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game for the Owls.
Semaj Inge becomes the 5th signee for the Storm, joining returning players Al Stewart, Antonio Ballard, Nick Evans, and rookie Sammy Emile.
