The wait is over: Marist Hockey is making its much anticipated return this weekend as the Red Foxes play their first three games of the 2016-17 season! This is going to be a season to remember, and it’s sure to be an exciting opening weekend!

            On Friday night, the team opens the season in New Jersey, playing Montclair State University. Since the team suffered several losses against MSU last season, this is definitely one of Marist’s greatest rivals and a team that the Red Foxes are really looking to defeat. Marist lost by a slim margin on several different occasions to Montclair during the 2015-16 season, so the team plans on coming back better than ever this Friday and starting the season off on a high note.

            The Red Foxes have the home ice advantage on Saturday afternoon when they take on the Lehigh University Mountain Hawks at Ice Time Sports Complex in Newburgh, New York. Since Marist is only scheduled to compete against Lehigh once this season, there will be a big push to make this game count!

            As for Sunday afternoon, Marist is home once again at Ice Time Sports Complex in Newburgh to play the University of Vermont. Similar to Lehigh, UVM and Marist are currently only scheduled to meet once this season, so the game should be an interesting one!
