It was a rough day for the Silver Sox fans, players, coaches, and probably even the city itself. It started ugly and it got worse from there. At the end of the 2nd Inning of play the score was 10-1 in favor of the Outlaws, and it only got worse from there.
The Outlaws posted a whopping 19 Runs, from 17 hits, and only 3 Errors on the Silver Sox defense. This was an earned victory as Calexico hit and hit and hit, and when it looked like they were done.....they kept hitting some more. A lot of walks were the reason for the large score, but that many hits given up will lose just about any game.
The Saskachewan team used 5 pitchers in this game. None of them with any results. Joseph Cacciato started the game and had a tough time of it. Giving up 10 runs in 1 2/3 Innings pitched, off 8 Hits, and 2 Walks, no Strikeouts. Osborn came in after and didn't have much luck either. From then on a lot of position players came in to throw an inning and the drubbing continued.
The only thing the Sox can take from this is the fact they will have another game tomorrow and another chance to turn things around. All teams make the playoffs, and crazier things have happened, so the Sox will have their chance.
