Welcome back, Marist Hockey fans! Below is a few different segments of information about the latest in Marist Hockey news. We can't wait to see you all at our home opener THIS FRIDAY! The puck will drop at 9:15pm as we take on the William Paterson Pioneers.

Marist Hockey started the 2015-16 season with a bang. The Red Foxes defeated the UVM Catamounts 4-2 on Friday, September 25th away in Burlington, VT.

A combination of old and new talent propelled Marist to victory on Friday evening. Freshman Trevor Tuthill kicked off his first year as a Red Fox by scoring the first goal of the Marist season in the first period. Always a reliable goal scorer, senior Brett Kaiser brought the score to 2-0 in the second period. The Red Foxes closed out the game with two goals from freshman Justin Genga. Junior Justin Larkin was in net and made several outstanding saves to allow Marist to pull out an important win.

We have lots of new names on our roster this year! 11 rookies will be taking the ice with us this season. They're listed below:

• #35 Tyler Crump - Goaltender, Junior
• #27 Michael Donato - Forward, Junior
• #16 Connor Flynn - Defense, Freshman
• #3 Justin Genga - Forward, Freshman
• #17 Lucas Millbank - Defense, Freshman
• #20 Kenny Nygaard - Forward, Freshman
• #6 Daniel Roberts - Defense, Freshman 
• #21 Trevor Tuthill - Forward, Freshman
• #15 Anthony Vitale - Foward, Freshman
• #19 Andy Vovk - Foward, Junior
• #14 Michael Yonnone - Forward, Freshman

Marist's third game of the season will be this Saturday, 10/3 away at the University of Massachusetts. The game is set to start at 6:00pm at the Amelia Park Ice Rink in Westfield, MA. The address for the rink is:

Looking ahead, please mark in your calendars that our annual Pink Game for breast cancer awareness will be happening on Saturday, October 24th at 4:15pm at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center.
