The New Jersey Junior Titans Midget program has risen to become the cream of the crop in terms of Midget Programs in the Atlantic District.  This has never been more evident than this weekend, as the Titans U16 National team and U16 American team will take place in the AYHL Playoffs by virtue of both teams finishing in the top four of the league standings.

The U16 National team finished in a tie for 2nd place with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Jr Knights with 44 points, but by virtue of losing the head-to-head tiebreaker will receive the third seed for the playoffs, and will face off against the Jr Knights on Saturday at 5:45pm at the Ice House in Hackensack.  Should the Titans defeat the Knights, they will face off on Sunday at 1:00pm against the winner of the other playoff game between Team Comcast and the Long Island Gulls.

The U16 American team finished in 2nd place in the U16 American division with 29 points, outlasting every team except for the Philadelphia Junior Flyers.  The American team will face off on Saturday against the New Jersey Colonials at 4:00pm at the Ice House as well,  Should the Americans defeat the Colonials, they will move on to the Championship where they will face off against the winner of the other American game between the Junior Flyers and the Long Island Royals.

Said Assistant GM and Coach Randy Walker, "We are excited about the future of the Midget Program here.  It has been a consistent top program since our 1995 birth year players were first year midgets, and those first Midget teams paved the way for the current and future players to be nationally recognized by top Division I NCAA Programs and USHL and NAHL organizations."
