| Charles Frederick “Boots” Day enters his first season as the Calgary Vipers Hitting and Bench Coach after last season working with the Lancaster Barnstormers as their hitting coach. The 61-Year-Old was born in Ilion, New York and now resides in St. Louis, Missouri. This left-handed thrower and hitter made his major league debut on June 15, 1969 with the St. Louis Cardinals. Boots went on to play 471 career MLB games with the Cubs and mostly the Expos. The outfielder finished up his playing career in 1974. | |||||||
