The East Texas Pump Jacks (28-10) beat the Brazos Valley Bombers (23-17) 8-2 on Wednesday at Driller Park after a five-run explosion in the first inning.
Taylor Murphy did his best to jumpstart the offense for the East Texas Pump Jacks, reaching base four times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.
Jacob Lindgren kept contact to a minimum, striking out eight the Brazos Valley Bombers batters. Lindgren allowed no earned runs, six hits and one walk over seven innings.
Brannon Easterling (1-4) took the loss for the Brazos Valley Bombers. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked four and struck out five.
