As one of the first four players ever to come to East Texas from the Southeastern Conference, Lindgren makes his Pump Jacks debut this summer.

            The lefty from Bay St. Louis, Miss. was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 12th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft, but decided to attend Mississippi State University instead. Lindgren had solid freshman season for the Bulldogs, going 2-2 with a 3.33 ERA in 13 appearances with 1 save in helping the Bulldogs reach the NCAA Tournament in the tough SEC. He also walked just 6 batters while striking out 21 in 24.1 innings, a terrific ratio.

            Lindgren had a standout career at St. Stanislaus High School as a First Team All-State pitcher. His senior season he was nearly unhittable, compiling an 8-0 record and a 1.09 ERA with 128 strikeouts in just 64 innings. He also led the pitching staff with a 1.45 ERA and a 6-2 record in helping the Rockachaws to a state championship his junior season.
